Marie Muddiman, Executive Director
Marie joined the staff in July 2011. Her background includes a wealth of experience in the nonprofit arena. She has worked for United Way of Roanoke Valley as Community Impact Manager, for Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council as Development Manager, and for United Methodist churches. She has a degree in Family and Child Development from Virginia Tech and is a graduate of the Batten Leadership program at Hollins University. While at Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, she was the volunteer coordinator for Family Promise.
Mariam DiPasquale, Housing Stability Manager
Mariam joined the staff in October 2019. She began her career as an AmeriCorps volunteer coordinating an afterschool program in El Paso, TX, along the US-Mexico border. She has since worked in other nonprofit and community development programs across the US, including a shelter for runaway and homeless youth in Boise, ID. She has an undergraduate degree in Intercultural Studies & Community Development from John Brown University, and a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Texas.
Tasha Evans, Program Manager
Tasha joined the staff in January 2019. She graduated in 2002 with a dual degree in Sociology (Univ. of Maryland Eastern Shore) and Social Work (Salisbury University). In 2013, she started a Career and Education Center with Church Community Housing and the McKinney Cooperative Shelter in Newport, RI, working with homeless and formerly incarcerated people. In 2015, she returned to Mental Health as a program manager for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programs in Starkville, MI and Roanoke VA. She holds a QMHP-A with the Commonwealth of VA Board of Counseling.
Meredith Roller, Marketing and Special Events Manager
Meredith joined the staff in December 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke College. She works with our donors, serves as staff coordinator for fundraisers and special events, does bookkeeping, and assists with day-to-day operations. A native Roanoker, Meredith moved back to the area in 2005.
