HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND FURNITURE FOR FAMILIES

Many families come to Family Promise with few or no belongings. When they move into their own homes, they need basic furniture and household items.

We are partnered with Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in the Roanoke Valley for furniture donations.  Every furniture donation referral from Family Promise equals vouchers for our families to choose furniture they need.

Here’s how:
1) Call Roanoke Valley ReStore to pick up your furniture. Their number is (540) 767-2267. Or you may deliver the furniture yourself Monday-Saturday 9-5. Their address is 3435 Melrose Avenue NW in Roanoke.
2) Be sure to tell the folks at Roanoke Valley ReStore that you were referred by Family Promise when you schedule pick-up and again when it is picked up, or when you deliver the donation.
3) For each furniture donation to ReStore through our referral, Family Promise of Greater Roanoke will receive credit vouchers for our families to use to shop for furniture at ReStore.

For more information about what Roanoke Valley ReStore will accept, go to http://habitat-roanoke.org/restore/donate/

Family Promise directly accepts donations of gently used or new beds and basic household items like pots & pans, dishes, and linens.  Call our office at (540) 444-7374 to make arrangements.
